Welcome to Saint James’ Episcopal Church, Newport, Delaware
St. James is a family church with a warm and loving congregation. Everyone is welcome to join our family. The church building is air-conditioned with a ground level side entrance for easy access.
Sunday service is at 10:00 a.m. followed by a fellowship time in the lower level. Church school for children is during the first part of the service from September through June. Nursery is available. We encourage each person to participate in parish activities at the level in which he/she is comfortable.
Healing Service is usually held at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. Some months may vary.
Directions: We are located in New Castle County, Delaware, just west of Wilmington. From I-95 take the Newport Exit to Route 141, staying in the right lane. Leave Route 141 to Newport and turn right on Market Street (first light). Stay in right lane for two blocks (Memorial Triangle on left) to Augustine Street and church parking. If coming from the west on Kirkwood Highway, take 141 to Newport exit, go to the second traffic light and turn left onto Market Street.
